Lenovo Tab P12

If you are looking for a tablet with a huge screen that you can draw on and watch videos, check out the Lenovo Tab P12 (review). Featuring the Dimensity 7050 chipset, which is a rebranded version of the Dimensity 1080, the tablet has a 12.7-inch 3K IPS LCD screen which is great for content consumption.

The tablet has a JBL-tuned quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support and runs on Android 13 out of the box. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and packs a 10,200mAh battery with 30W fast charging. While the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is currently available on Amazon for Rs 26,999, you will have to buy the Lenovo Precision Pen 2 separately. It costs Rs 3,999.

Xiaomi Pad 6

Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Xiaomi Pad 6 offers a great price-to-performance ratio and is a great buy for those looking for a tablet that you can work and play on. It has a 2.5K 144Hz 11-inch IPS LCD screen and is powered by the tried and tested Snapdragon 870, which is still blazing fast to date despite its age.

The tablet runs on MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13 out of the box, but you can update to HyperOS based on Android 14. It has a metal body and an 8,840mAh battery that can be charged at 33W. The only gripe is that you will have to buy the stylus separately, which is priced at Rs 5,999.

The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the Xiaomi Pad 6 (review) is currently available on Amazon for Rs 26,999, but we recommend spending a bit more and getting the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version that costs Rs 2,000 more. If money isn’t a problem, you can check the Xiaomi Pad 6 bundle on the official website, which includes the stylus and a smart cover.

Apple iPad (10th Gen)

Looking for an iPad that doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket and supports Apple Pencil? Check out the Apple iPad 10th Gen, a tablet powered by the A14 Bionic chipset, which also powers the iPhone 12 series.

The iPad 10th Gen sports a 10.9-inch screen and comes with iPadOS 16.1 out of the box, but can be updated to iPadOS 17.5.1. While Apple does not reveal the official battery capacity, the Cupertino-based tech giant claims the iPad 10th gen offers an all-day battery life.

If you are looking for a tablet for drawing and entertainment purposes, the base variant of the iPad 10th gen which comes with 64GB storage can be purchased for Rs 34,900. Keep in mind that the iPad 10th Gen (review) only supports the first-generation Apple Pencil, which needs to be purchased separately for Rs 9,500 from the Apple website.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE

Samsung’s Galaxy FE series is known to offer flagship-like features at half the price, and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is no exception. While it may not offer the same raw power as the Galaxy Tab S9 series, the tablet excels when it comes to multitasking and drawing. It comes with the Samsung S-Pen, which supports palm rejection and pressure sensitivity, making it one of the best options available if you are looking for a tablet to draw and scribble on.

Powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE has a 10.9-inch IPS LCD screen with 500 nits brightness and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has an aluminium body and offers IP68 water and dust protection. The device runs on Android 13 out of the box, but Samsung recently rolled out the One UI 6.1 update based on Android 14.

The tablet packs an 8,000mAh battery which supports 45W fast charging. The 6GB RAM and 128GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is currently available for Rs 35,999 on Amazon, but if you can wait for a few months, we recommend buying it during the sale as the price often dips down with bank offers and discounts.

OnePlus Pad

OnePlus’ first tablet in India – the OnePlus Pad is a mid-range tablet powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, which also powers phones like the OnePlus Nord 3. Launched in February last year, the tablet has an 11.61-inch IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and supports Dolby Vision.

It runs on OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13, but OnePlus has already rolled out the Android 14 update. All of this is backed by a 9,510mAh battery that supports 67W wired fast charging. If you are looking for a tablet that can easily run all the latest titles, offers a great multitasking experience and can draw on, the OnePlus Pad is one of the best tablets to buy under Rs 40,000.

The base variant of the OnePlus Pad (review) with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is selling for Rs 35,999, but we recommend purchasing the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version since it costs only Rs 2,000 more. Also, like other non-Samsung tablets, you have to buy the OnePlus Stylo stylus separately for Rs 4,999.
