About us.
The YMCA Polytechnic College (Y-Tech) was established in July 2019; and the permit from the Ministry of Education to operate as a professional and technical school in Liberia was granted on August 19, 2019, and inaugurated September 13, 2019. It is an outcome of the policy statement made by the Chief Executive Officer of the Liberia YMCA in September 2018 at the closing ceremony of Cycle #28 conducted by the YMCA Computer Training Program which has been in operation since November 16, 2004. In rolling out his vision captioned, Vision 2031, Mr. E. Timothous Kamaboakai indicated that by September 2019, the ongoing Computer Training Program would have been upgraded to a College, granting diploma and subsequently, Associate and Full Degrees in various professional areas.
We are a youth and student centered and community driven organization. Our lead audiences are, (1) the youth and students, especially those who must have missed out of school.
Course difficulty
The YMCA Polytechnic College awards Certificate to deserving Student who meets all our training requirement all our prescribed courses.
Course duration
The Duration of training for each level at the Computer department is three months while 9 months for all TVET Courses.
